We are so glad you decided to check out our shul! We know this is a synagogue you’ll feel proud to call home. We are conveniently located in Dunwoody, very close to the Marcus Jewish Community Center and the Perimeter Mall area. We are an easy drive from Sandy Springs, Roswell, Peachtree Corners and Alpharetta areas.

 

 

Come experience our special warmth through our Shabbat services, holiday celebrations, life cycle events, Jewish education (from preschool on), and our extensive social and youth programming. Beth Shalom has something to offer everyone!

Got Kids?                                                                             

Beth Shalom has 3 weekly kids services most every Saturday!

  • Tot Shabbat for ages 18 months-4 years at 11 am
  • Mini Minyan for ages 5-8 years at 11 am
  • Junior Congregation for ages 9-12 years at 11 am
  • Beth Shalom has an award-winning Alefbet Preschool for kids from ages 6 weeks -4 years.
  • Check out our dynamic Religious School, for kids from K to Grade 7.
  • Beth Shalom’s Youth Department has fun, enriching programming for kids starting in 3rd grade through USY. We are also affiliated with a Citywide program where they have fun with kids from all over Atlanta!

Got Teens?

  • Beth Shalom’s USY program for teens, in grades 9-12, is dedicated to creating a fun, educational environment for Jewish teenagers where they can connect with other Jewish teens in a comfortable atmosphere, with social action programs, supporting Israel, and giving and performing charity.
  • Beth Shalom’s Teen Scene education program is for teens in grades 8-11. Teens learn in a fun, interactive environment.
  • Beth Shalom’s teens have the rewarding experience of assisting in classrooms of our Religious School as madrichim. Our teens add to the energy of the school.

Our Shabbat and Weekday Services

  • Once a month our Friday night service gets “Rockin’” with live music, lots of ruach, and participation when Shabbat ends before sundown.

Availability of Rabbi

Members are entitled to call on the Rabbi for pastoral counseling, hospital visitations, and similar needs.

Life Cycle Events

We encourage our congregants to turn to our Rabbi for an Aufruf and marriage ceremony, Brit-milah and Brit Bat (baby-naming) ceremony, Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony and funeral service.

Worship Services

Shabbat morning services and selected festivals include programming, Tot Shabbat for children ages 18 months through 4 years, Mini Minyan for ages 5-8, and Jr. Congregation for ages 9-12.  Membership includes tickets to the High Holy Days.

Synagogue Events and Programs

Members are entitled to attend Adult Education Classes and other designated programs.

Religious School

Members may enroll their school-age children in the Religious School (subject to such fees and standards as established in the Religious School Family Handbook).

Preschool

Tuition Discount offered to members enrolled in our AlefBet Preschool.

L’Dor V’Dor

Congregation Beth Shalom’s program is in the spirit of Gemilut Hasadim – acts of loving kindness.  When one of our families suffers the loss of a loved one, they have the comfort of knowing that their community will attend to their needs.

Reciprocity

If your membership includes High Holy Day tickets, you are eligible for reciprocity with participating synagogues in the United States.

United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism

Members receive a subscription the USCJ Review Magazine.
