Dear Beth Shalom Families,

As we all sit at home and practice our ‘social distancing’ in an effort to ‘flatten the curve’, I am reminded of how unprecedented this time is and how all directives need to be taken seriously. While we can’t come together physically, we are so fortunate to have a rabbi and members of our congregation who are proficient enough with technology to make sure our kehillah doesn’t skip a beat!

With that said, our traditions are going to look and feel a little bit different in the next few weeks, or even months. Services will be streaming, classes will be virtual, and our Passover seder tables might be a few family members short. But, that doesn’t mean our focus on Judaism will stop. In fact, during this time of self-quarantine, our beliefs may even become stronger! We are continuing to be a fully operational synagogue for our kehillah.

It’s at this time that I’d like to remind you of the MatzAppeal. Currently, our budget is strained due to COVID-19. Please know that more than ever your donations are helping us be there for you, during good times and bad. The shul relies heavily on the generosity and commitment of each and every one of you to help us meet our budgetary obligations. Let’s be here for one another and come out of this very serious situation on a positive note.

If you are able, please kindly and generously consider a financial contribution to Beth Shalom. It’s easy to donate, either online CLICK HERE  or by mailing in the form sent in the mail.

We are here for one another. Beth Shalom’s staff and Board are here to help you navigate through this difficult time and provide appropriate assistance when needed. Please stay safe and follow the most current guidelines from the CDC.

Chag Sameach,

Wendy Widis, Development VP
