Congregation Beth Shalom nominated Seth Schulman to receive the Hadassah Chesed Student Award this year. For the past 28 years, The Hadassah Greater Atlanta Chesed Student Award program has honored one outstanding Jewish teen from each of the Atlanta area Jewish Day Schools, Supplemental Religious Schools, and Educational Groups for his or her acts of chesed—loving-kindness and menschlichkeit. Seth is the son of Alexander & Marci Schulman.
Now, for the second year, Hadassah Greater Atlanta together with our partner JumpSpark, recognize the contributions our youth is making in the local Atlanta Jewish community and beyond. Additionally, we invited students to compete through an essay contest for one of two financial prizes, the Phyllis M. Cohen Chesed Leadership Award and the Linda and Michael Weinroth Chesed Community Service Award. Those winners will be announced during the program.
