SEPHARDIC CHOLENT ON JANUARY 14th AT 7:30PM
Let our guest chef, Lucy Moses, show us her fabulous recipe via Zoom. Hamim (or Chamim) is from the Hebrew word "hot". The Sephardic version of cholent is known as hamim. Popular throughout Israel, hamim is often made with chicken rather than meat. What makes it different than Eastern European cholent is that is is spiced more exotically, using spices such as turmeric, coriander, and cumin. It's good Jewish comfort food.
